Education and Training
The key to an informed decision is training and education, the more you know about what you want, what you plan to do, and how things work the better decision you will be able to make. Making the RIGHT decision on products and technology will inevitably save you money, you buy once and you buy RIGHT.
For a moment lets take the sales out of what we do, if there was no pressure to buy, and no stock to sell we could discuss product features, benefits, test and play with systems with the aim of enjoyment, buy trying several things, understanding not just the products but how they go together, and the environment they exist in the relevance in relation to your system will become apparent.
This will practical hands on training – not just question and answer, my aim is not just to tell you stuff you may already know but to give you the opportunity to try different things, then to sit back relax and enjoy what has been created.
We will discuss all aspects of hi-fi and home theatre from Equipment, connections, peripheral devices and room acoustics.
Topics for discussion (not in any particular order)
- · Products and Price points – what you get as you pay more. (relevant to hi-fi and theatre)
- · Cables and Interconnects including digital HDMI and Analog - can you hear the difference between inexpensive and ultra expensive - is HDMI all it is cracked up to be - what is the best speaker cable to use - how will the cables I use effect the system performance –
- · DVD VS. Blu-ray VS CD – what is better for music? Is Blu-ray much better than DVD and can my ears tell the difference between DD, DTS, Analog, DD HD, DTD HD and THX.
- · What kind of speakers are best for music
- · What kind of speakers are best for movies
